Workshop Registration Fees:

The registration fee covers one copy and a CD of the proceedings, welcome reception, workshop banquet for one person, lunches, and all coffee breaks during the workshop. Additional copies of proceedings and additional banquet tickets can be requested on registration.

* IAPR member: Members of any National Society affiliated to IAPR are given a discount. Please specify the IAPR Affiliated Society and your membership number of that society on the registration form.

** Student: To receive the student discount, you need to supply additional information of the supervisor's name and his/her e-mail address on the registration form. Students can receive one copy of proceedings with CD, and are eligible to join the banquet sponsored by IBM.

Options for workshop features:

The following options are available for your convenience and for your joy. They are availabe on the first-come-first-serve basis.

1) Proceedings: Additional copies of proceedings with CD are available at 8,000JY per copy. CD is not separable.

2) Additional banquet tickets are available at 10,000JY per person.

3) Four technical tours are prepared for the afternoon of Monday, Oct. 25. Each of them is organized and guided by Fujitsu, NEC, Toshiba, and Hitachi, respectively. It is free of charge to join, however the travel cost is at your own expense. Please see the details and choose one.

4) A tutorial on TabletPC will be given to 40 participants by Microsoft. It will be held as a night session after the regular technical sessions on Tuesday, Oct. 26. It is free of charge. Light meal is served before the tutorial. This event is supported by Microsoft. Please see the details.

5) An a-half day excursion to one of the Hakone areas is prepared for 40 participants. It will cost 12,000JY per person, covering the chartered bus charge, a lunch, and a dinner. Please see the details. If you would like to stay in the Hokone area for that night, instead of coming back to the Kichijoji hotels, please request information to us.

Health and Injury Insurance (Travelers Insurance)

The workshop organizers will not accept liability for injuries or losses that might occur due to the accidents or other happenings during the workshop. It is recommended that the participants arrange their health and injury insurance on their own, prior to the trip to the workshop.

Cancellation Policy :

1) Cancellation of workshop registration: The representative author of a paper cannot cancel his/her registration. At least one author (co-author) needs to register. For others, only cancellation in writing sent by fax will be accepted. It should be directed to the Official Agency. Refund will be made with 10,000JY charge before Sep. 30. After that date, no refund will be made.

2) Cancellation of hotel rooms: Cancellation in writing sent by fax will be accepted under the following policy. It should be directed to the Official Agency. If it is more than 14 days prior to the arrival date, full refund will be made. If it is 13 to 8 days prior, refund at 20% of one-night charge will be made. If it is 7 to one days prior, 50% of one-night charge will be requested. For no show, no refund will be made.
